Dr. Rorschach Hound's Top 25 Comic Book Villains

Feel the terror of the greatest villains to confront our heroes...

While we all root for the hero to win, it doesn't mean that we are unable to find something to appreciate within their enemies. Why do we like villains even though we know what they do is morally wrong? I feel that it's because with villains writers are given the opportuninty to explore the dark side of humanity? They are allowed to convey what compells certain individuals to carry out villainous deeds. It can range from greed, power, vengance, a misguided sense of ethics, or to the simple fact that there are just some men out there who want to watch the world burn. Evil, like shades of color, is practically limitless in its forms, and can be contributed to a wide variety of psychological factors and individual perspectives. Comic book villains on the surface may appear to be your stereotypical mad-scientist or terrorist that wants to take over the world, but like evil in the real world, there are deeper meanings to their madness. But which villains perfectly convey these psychological profiles? Well to answer that question, I'm going to countdown what I consider to be the top 25 greatest comic book villains!
